i've officially been here for more than 3 weeks! i really can't believe how the time has gone so quickly, yet it also seems like i've been here forever. the fabled SWEAT camping trip was 3 weeks ago - and was so much more fun than i expected. no one knows how the trip got the name SWEAT, but was started a few years ago and is now a stanford med tradition. we went to the lake alpine area in the Stanislaus mountains. my group's name was S'more Skillzz - rather self-explanatory i think. we had so much fun together!

SWEAT was also a great chance for un-outdoors-y me to display my Utah upbringing. I felt like a real nature girl as I taught them to set up the tent and climb over tree trunks. Thank goodness for girl scouts and federal heights girls' camp! i even sort of enjoyed it all - but don't quote me on that.
