first exams...

this week was long. so long. we had our first exams - in molecular biology, histology and cells to tissues. our first "mini-quarter" is over, and we are starting our new classes, and electives, next week. since i am writing this, you can infer that i survived the exam week, but it definitely was not fun. histology was fine - ten slides with "find me a [name your favorite cell type - megakaryocyte, metamyelocyte, etc]" attached. thursday we had cells to tissues - 23 pages, open notes, and 3 hours. no one finished early. and today was the worst: molecular biology. this exam was 20 pages and 3 hours also! i think the low point was when i looked down and realized that i had just written "locationalization," and could not remember that the correct word was "localize"! anyway, we survived and get to do all the "real people" things we have been neglecting for over a week - cooking, cleaning, laundry, and going to the grocery store. yay stanford med!
