lindsay and ryan came to visit me this weekend. they arrived thursday night (i had a zipcar adventure going to pick them up), and left monday morning. we had 3 very exciting days, full of SF and PA exploration. my roommate diana drove us, and my roommate ji, to the city on friday night. we did make the discovery that ji is a model! a real model - in a yahoo commercial and magazines. for 2 months she has been visiting LA on the weekends, saying vaguely that she "had to finish some work." well, true to form, within 24 hours of meeting her lindsay had figured out AND gotten her to admit that she is a model.
we stayed near union square in SF, and spent the days (and nights) wandering the streets and visiting chinatown, the wharf, and ghirardelli square. we also experienced the wonders of SF public transportation (verdict=not so great). we took caltrain back to PA, and went to dinner at a classy mexican restaurant (with our suitcases in tow.)
sunday morning we invited phil over for a pumpkin pancake party, and after church we had dinner with tori. i even cooked meat for the occasion, and i think it turned out reasonably well. it was a fitting birthday celebration weekend for linds and ryan!
in essence, i love visitors! so come visit me!!!
