a personality test?

personality tests are bad news, in my opinion. especially if your personality is rather conflicted, or as i like to think, not easily boxed in. anyway, tonight i went to an event where we had to take personality tests and then talk about our feelings. great. just what i'm good at. haha. anyway, here are some of my results (let me know how useful you think they are):

we took the myers-briggs type indicator test, which hasn't changed since the 1930s. i actually found many of the findings to be surprisingly accurate. a sampling: i am introverted, intuitive, feeling and judging. only slightly intuitive though. some adjectives to describe me are compassionate, conceptual, determined, intense, methodical and loyal. i am future-oriented, i work with integrity, and i follow through on commitments. i should work to become more politically savvy and assertive in presenting my ideas. i enjoy organizing and finishing tasks, seek structure and schedules and may need to be drawn out. i prefer to be personable and in agreement. i also dislike surprises (what?!) and concentrate on task completion.

my favorites are how i deal with stress: i become overwhelmed with ideas and possibilities, all equally enticing; get obsessed with unimportant details; become preoccupied with one irrelevant fact, making it represent the entire domain (i don't like palm trees?); overindulge in sensory pursuits (eating, drinking, exercising). not me at all!

what does all this mean? let me know if you figure it out.
