most of october 2012 can be added to my "forgotten" months of the past year - those months where i was locked up inside working. this time, i was studying for my step 2, part of the national board exams. i have never spent so much time in my room. nor have i worn my pajamas so frequently. one of my roommates got all excited when she came home one day and i was actually wearing normal clothes.
finally, that sad point of my life ended and i got to meet my family in southern california for a trip to disneyland! we are a big disney family. disneyland is so fun with little kids.
dinner at goofy's kitchen on our first night. we do not waste any time.
after i took my boards, we went to a fantastic restaurant on the beach, the beachcomber. it is vintage-y and right on the beach. lovely.
madeleine could not stop staring at the princesses. how can you think of anything else in the face of such beauty?

on our last day, my aunt sara, her husband darcy, and their baby gwen came to meet us at the beach. it was a bit overcast but we spent a happy afternoon walking and playing on the beach
