holi!

when jess berry moved away this month (back to idaho), she wrote everyone a heartfelt note! mine was much appreciated, but she did remind me that her moving away did not mean that i was off the hook as far as my twice-per-month blog posting requirement. drat. did i really just type "drat?" in my defense, march and april were nearly-forgotten months in my life this year. i didn't even remember to change my desk calendar from february to april until april 27th!

well, jess berry, i didn't make it in april, but i'll do my best for may!

despite these past months passing by in a blur, there are a few events that stand out. the first being holi, the indian festival of colors. the stanford celebration is huge and famous in the bay area. all the cute south asian families from sunnyvale come up for the occasion. they were thrilled to see me and my blonde hair, and very willing to help me celebrate my very first holi.

we then decided to make the 20 minute walk through the streets of menlo park to our favorite frozen yogurt shop. we caused some excitement on the street - lucky no one was hurt due to distracted driving!
