there is a very good chance that i have not blogged in a long time. nearly two months, to be exact. please accept my apologies and assurances that nothing much has changed. however, it was medicine and the muse this week! last year's was unbeatable, but this time was also very enriching. we heard from dr. richard kogan, a cornell psychiatrist and concert pianist who told stories from beethoven's life and performed the corresponding pieces. see his bio here. i was entranced by the apassionata. if only i had a piano. and the time to practice. i would learn to play this piece.
